General information

Kamakhya Biofuels Pvt. Ltd. is a company dedicated to the production of ethanol from grain, established under the Government of India’s Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program. Our facility is located in Bediasisa Gaon, under the Sipajhar revenue circle in Darrang district, Assam.

KBPL was incorporated on September 14, 2021. Since then, we have been working diligently to set up our ethanol production facility.

KBPL has a 6.0 MW co-generation power plant. This power generation will utilize high-pressure steam from a 55 TPH boiler, which will provide steam for both the production process and power generation through a steam turbine generator.

While our immediate focus is on establishing the ethanol production facility and commencing operations by September 2024, we also plan to explore opportunities for expanding our production capacity and diversifying our product offerings in the renewable energy sector.

About Ethanol Plant

Our ethanol manufacturing plant is designed to produce 300 KLPD (Kilo Liters Per Day) of ethanol. This capacity is aligned with the requirements of the EBP program and aims to contribute to the renewable energy sector.

The facility includes several critical components:

Grain Silos: We have three grain silos, each with a capacity of 7,800 MT, to store raw materials.

Milling Plant: This plant prepares flour for the liquefaction section of the ethanol production process.

Liquefaction and Fermentation Sections: These sections are designed specifically for a 300 KLPD plant.

Distillation, Evaporation, and MSDH Plant: Equipped with all necessary machinery for ethanol production.

Dryer Unit: This unit is installed for the production of DDGS (Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles), a byproduct of ethanol production.

Ethanol Storage Section: This includes storage tanks with a capacity of 2,375 KL each, located in a PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization) area.

Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU): This unit is being installed to maintain Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) standards.

Ethanol production offers several benefits, including:

Renewable Energy Source:Ethanol is a renewable fuel that can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

En By blending ethanol with petrol, we can reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels.

Economic Growth: * The establishment of our plant will create jobs and stimulate local economic development.

Economic Growth: The establishment of our plant will create jobs and stimulate local economic development.

Support for Farmers: Increased demand for grains for ethanol production can benefit local farmers.

Other Information

To comply with environmental regulations, we will install an Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) as per Assam Pollution Control Board (APCB) norms. Additionally, our facility will feature a 65-meter-high chimney to ensure proper emission dispersion.

KBPL is committed to sustainability through the production of biofuels, which helps reduce reliance on fossil fuels. By utilizing locally sourced grains for ethanol production, we also support local agriculture and contribute to the regional economy. Our focus on Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) and compliance with environmental standards further enhances our sustainability efforts.

The location in Bediasisa Gaon, Assam, is strategic for several reasons:

Accessibility to Raw Materials: Assam has a rich agricultural landscape, providing easy access to grains for ethanol production.

Support from Local Government: The state government supports renewable energy initiatives, aligning with our mission.

Economic Development: Establishing our plant in this region will create jobs and stimulate local economic growth.

Stakeholders interested in collaborating with KBPL, whether through investment, supply chain partnerships, or community engagement, are encouraged to reach out to us directly. We value partnerships that align with our mission of promoting sustainable energy solutions.
