At Kamakhya Biofuels Pvt. Ltd., we are committed to building a self-reliant and sustainable energy ecosystem. Through cutting-edge technology and a vision for a greener tomorrow, we convert agricultural surplus into high-quality ethanol, directly contributing to India’s clean fuel movement. Ethanol for Energy Independence
Why Our Ethanol Matters
Fueling Progress, Sustaining the Planet
High-Volume, High-Purity Output
With a capacity of 300 KL/day, we ensure consistent and scalable ethanol supply for blending and beyond.
Utilizing Agricultural Surplus
We process grains like maize and rice that would otherwise go to waste, supporting farmers and reducing food surplus.
Reducing Fossil Fuel Dependence
Our ethanol directly offsets fossil fuel usage, decreasing India’s energy imports and emissions.
safety and risk reduction
Robotics streamline complex tasks, reducing production time and minimizing downtime, which leads to higher output and faster delivery.
Transforming Grains into Green Energy
Our advanced distillation units convert surplus crops like maize and rice into high-purity ethanol. With a daily production capacity of 300 KL, we are helping reduce India's reliance on imported fossil fuels and taking steady strides toward the E20 target—empowering the nation with renewable, homegrown energy.

Frequently asked questions
Kamakhya Biofuels Pvt. Ltd. is a company dedicated to the production of ethanol from grain, established under the Government of India’s Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program. Our facility is located in Bediasisa Gaon, under the Sipajhar revenue circle in Darrang district, Assam.
KBPL was incorporated on September 14, 2021. Since then, we have been working diligently to set up our ethanol production facility.
Our ethanol manufacturing plant is designed to produce 300 KLPD (Kilo Liters Per Day) of ethanol. This capacity is aligned with the requirements of the EBP program and aims to contribute to the renewable energy sector.
KBPL has a 6.0 MW co-generation power plant. This power generation will utilize high-pressure steam from a 55 TPH boiler, which will provide steam for both the production process and power generation through a steam turbine generator.
To comply with environmental regulations, we will install an Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) as per Assam Pollution Control Board (APCB) norms. Additionally, our facility will feature a 65-meter-high chimney to ensure proper emission dispersion.
