From Fuel to Feed – Maximizing Every Grain
At Kamakhya Biofuels Pvt. Ltd., sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. As we establish our grain-based ethanol plant in Bediasisa Gaon, Assam, we are committed to minimizing waste and maximizing the value of every resource—transforming ethanol byproducts into high-quality animal nutrition solutions.
DDGS: A Nutritional Byproduct for a Sustainable Future
High-Protein Animal Feed That Powers Progress An essential part of our ethanol production process is the generation of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS)—a nutrient-rich byproduct derived from fermented grains. Using a specialized dryer unit, we ensure our DDGS maintains superior nutritional quality, serving as a reliable feed ingredient for livestock.
Why Our DDGS Matters ?
High Nutritional Value
Rich in protein and essential nutrients, our DDGS is ideal for cattle and poultry feed, boosting animal health and productivity.
Efficient Resource Utilization
By repurposing fermentation byproducts, we minimize waste and make full use of the grain input—supporting a true circular economy.
Support for Local Agriculture
Our DDGS provides farmers with an affordable, high-quality feed option, contributing to the growth of the regional livestock sector.
Aligned with National Sustainability Goals
The production of DDGS complements our ethanol efforts and strengthens our alignment with India’s renewable energy and rural development missions.

Frequently asked questions
Kamakhya Biofuels Pvt. Ltd. is a company dedicated to the production of ethanol from grain, established under the Government of India’s Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program. Our facility is located in Bediasisa Gaon, under the Sipajhar revenue circle in Darrang district, Assam.
KBPL was incorporated on September 14, 2021. Since then, we have been working diligently to set up our ethanol production facility.
Our ethanol manufacturing plant is designed to produce 300 KLPD (Kilo Liters Per Day) of ethanol. This capacity is aligned with the requirements of the EBP program and aims to contribute to the renewable energy sector.
KBPL has a 6.0 MW co-generation power plant. This power generation will utilize high-pressure steam from a 55 TPH boiler, which will provide steam for both the production process and power generation through a steam turbine generator.
To comply with environmental regulations, we will install an Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) as per Assam Pollution Control Board (APCB) norms. Additionally, our facility will feature a 65-meter-high chimney to ensure proper emission dispersion.
